Another Survivor's Story has been found!

DAY 1 OCTOBER 1st 2014

On the radio there was a message from the government saying that a virus called “Rage” is turning people into zombies. I thought it was a big joke, but it was all too real. They also said that there was a safety zone. I gathered my things and left own as soon as I could. Inverness was overrun by night fall.

DAY 42 of THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE

I have no way of telling the month but I know that it is still 2014. I met a group of survivors there are 5 of us:

There’s Kenny, he lost his whole family in a zombie attack. He is an average American guy with a beard like a lumber jack and has a good swing with his axe.

Lilly is a 5 year old girl that has seen things she shouldn’t have seen, but she keeps us on our feet. If it wasn’t for her we probably would have given up by now. She has long blond hair and blue eyes

Mark is 89 but nothing can dampen his spirit he wakes us up in the morning and keeps Lilly happy, but he is not going to be with us for much longer. Every day he wheezes more and more and is getting weaker.

Jim is a good cook and knows what can be eaten in the wild.

DAY 43 of THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE

I got up and went to wake up Mark. I got 8 steps away from him and he let out a groan – that’s when I knew something wasn’t right. His face was pale and ashen. When I walked closer and put my hand on his shoulder I could feel his body shaking. I turned him over to see his face and his eyes were all bloodshot – a lock of his hair fell aside to reveal a nasty looking wound. He must have been scratched by a zombie at some point in the last few days.  I woke up the others and told Jim to take care of Lilly before taking Kenny aside and telling him that Mark was dead and was turning into a zombie.  Kenny gave me a handgun and said it had to be done.  So I aimed it at Mark’s head and pulled the trigger. I can still hear the shot ringing in my ears.

Most of the day went by in a blur and Lilly was questioning where Mark was, but we couldn’t tell her.  We just said he went hunting for food.  We were coming up to a petrol station when two hordes of zombies were in front and behind us.  We ran towards the petrol station.  The doors were barricaded tight.  Jim and Kenny started to fend off the zombies.  The bar broke over the door so we rushed in but Jim’s foot got caught by a zombie and he was starting to be dragged back by all of them.  Each zombie sunk its teeth into him wherever it could.  He was shouting for help but there was nothing we could do.  We re-barricaded the door and then realised Kenny had been bitten.  The helicopter flew over towards the safe zone and Kenny said that the only way they would get out was if he was to buy them some time.  Kenny smashed one of the windows and jumped out, yelling and slashing at every zombie.  Me and Lilly hid behind the counter.  We heard Kenny’s yelling change into screaming and heard the sound of flesh being torn apart and the gurgling of blood from his month.  The zombies burst into the building and started piling in.  There was a small gap in the wall.  I told Lilly to go through but she was too scared.  I told her what happened to Mark and said that she had to go.  She just got through the gap.  I gave her the rest of the food and water and a gun and told her where the safe-zone was.  She ran off and I haven’t seen her since. I eventually managed to escape, dodging past the zombies reaching hands and heading towards the cover of some trees.

Zombie Survivor Diary

31th  September 2014

Dear who ever is reading this, my name is Georgia Ayres and I am one of the few survivors of the Rage virus. There’s a group of about 10 of us. I remember when Rage broke out, it feels like yesterday. I remember every detail: the time, the day – everything.  It was a month after we went back to school from the summer holidays…

I met up with Kathy ,Becky and Katie. It was about 8 am so Rage wasn’t on the news all I knew was that a virus was going around, I thought it was just like a cold. Turns out I was wrong. We were walking down the street on our way to school talking about how we couldn’t be bothered going to school and what we had. It was a Tuesday and I liked what I had that day so it didn’t seem that bad. We came across some guy sitting under the bridge. Something seemed odd about him we thought he was drunk or something so no one went up to him. We started to hear noises like “arrggh”. We asked if he was ok – but just got the same reply. A guy who was passing by on his way to work went over to the drunk and tapped him on the shoulder. Big mistake. That person now has no hand.

The drunk wasn’t actually a drunk, he was a zombie. As he turned his face we saw that the skin was peeling like a peeled potatoe and he had no bottom jaw. He got up and started chasing us. There were flood defence works by the river. I climbed on one of the fence things and yelled for my friends to join me. Kathy got up, Becky was still running. We couldn’t wait any longer, so we started running. We got away but couldn’t see Katie or the zombie. We continued on our way to school terrified. When we got there that was all people were talking about. Someone told us how they had seen Katie’s body. Kathy and I looked at each over. I was shaking I couldn’t see straight.

I’ve not felt like that since. We still have bad days here, but not like that. We have a place to stay, food and all the basics. Back then I used to hate stuff like PE - now it’s really all I know how to do. You see, I’m one of the fighters. If you knew me you’d probably never see me like this. I don’t really care what happens to me as long as the other survivors are all ok. They are my family now and sometimes that’s what you need in a world like this - someone to care. We do anything to survive, but never kill one of our own unless we group or get a bullet in the brain. I’ve seen so many turn, most of my friends and family. I only have my dog from my family left I have no clue where the rest are. We heard of a safe zone I just hope they are there. I heard about the safe zone from a friend who’s parents work for the government so they knew first. We’re just about to head out on our way to go to the safe zone. Good bye for now.

Inverness Quarantined

Following the government announcement Inverness has been quarantined for the good of the remainder of the UK. All residents are advised that troops have been given the order to shoot-on-sight any person who attempts to escape from the city.

Important message from Chief of the Armed Forces

The Chief of the Armed Forces has released a video explaining the situation to the residents of the United Kingdom.

Important message from the government!

Dear Citizens, the government has released the following statement in response to the Rage epidemic.

Oh no!!! The PM has been infected

The brave souls of 3EN6 have risked life and limb in order to deliver a medical report to the UN on "Rage". However, just before the PM was due to brief the UK on the dangers of the virus he himself was infected! Coughed on by an infected baby at a photoshoot, the infectious saliva turned him into a zombie in minutes. Now it's up to 3EN6 to chair a cabinet meeting to discuss the government's reaction to the outbreak.
