Another Survivor's Story has been found!

DAY 1 OCTOBER 1st 2014

On the radio there was a message from the government saying that a virus called “Rage” is turning people into zombies. I thought it was a big joke, but it was all too real. They also said that there was a safety zone. I gathered my things and left own as soon as I could. Inverness was overrun by night fall.

DAY 42 of THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE

I have no way of telling the month but I know that it is still 2014. I met a group of survivors there are 5 of us:

There’s Kenny, he lost his whole family in a zombie attack. He is an average American guy with a beard like a lumber jack and has a good swing with his axe.

Lilly is a 5 year old girl that has seen things she shouldn’t have seen, but she keeps us on our feet. If it wasn’t for her we probably would have given up by now. She has long blond hair and blue eyes

Mark is 89 but nothing can dampen his spirit he wakes us up in the morning and keeps Lilly happy, but he is not going to be with us for much longer. Every day he wheezes more and more and is getting weaker.

Jim is a good cook and knows what can be eaten in the wild.

DAY 43 of THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE

I got up and went to wake up Mark. I got 8 steps away from him and he let out a groan – that’s when I knew something wasn’t right. His face was pale and ashen. When I walked closer and put my hand on his shoulder I could feel his body shaking. I turned him over to see his face and his eyes were all bloodshot – a lock of his hair fell aside to reveal a nasty looking wound. He must have been scratched by a zombie at some point in the last few days.  I woke up the others and told Jim to take care of Lilly before taking Kenny aside and telling him that Mark was dead and was turning into a zombie.  Kenny gave me a handgun and said it had to be done.  So I aimed it at Mark’s head and pulled the trigger. I can still hear the shot ringing in my ears.

Most of the day went by in a blur and Lilly was questioning where Mark was, but we couldn’t tell her.  We just said he went hunting for food.  We were coming up to a petrol station when two hordes of zombies were in front and behind us.  We ran towards the petrol station.  The doors were barricaded tight.  Jim and Kenny started to fend off the zombies.  The bar broke over the door so we rushed in but Jim’s foot got caught by a zombie and he was starting to be dragged back by all of them.  Each zombie sunk its teeth into him wherever it could.  He was shouting for help but there was nothing we could do.  We re-barricaded the door and then realised Kenny had been bitten.  The helicopter flew over towards the safe zone and Kenny said that the only way they would get out was if he was to buy them some time.  Kenny smashed one of the windows and jumped out, yelling and slashing at every zombie.  Me and Lilly hid behind the counter.  We heard Kenny’s yelling change into screaming and heard the sound of flesh being torn apart and the gurgling of blood from his month.  The zombies burst into the building and started piling in.  There was a small gap in the wall.  I told Lilly to go through but she was too scared.  I told her what happened to Mark and said that she had to go.  She just got through the gap.  I gave her the rest of the food and water and a gun and told her where the safe-zone was.  She ran off and I haven’t seen her since. I eventually managed to escape, dodging past the zombies reaching hands and heading towards the cover of some trees.
